Jesus, betrayed, arrested, flogged, Sentenced to a criminal's penalty, Within Him no guilt was found, Yet still the orders came - Crucify. That Good Friday, car sickness and unfamiliar roads faded as my eyes fell upon fields of lambs. An unexpected ache grew within me, a longing to be near the Lamb of God, a feeling I imagine mirrored in the heart of His beloved, John at the foot of the Cross. O' the horror and beauty.
