Let Me tend to your wounds

I hear the Father say “You are in safe hands, my beloved child. Come to Me with your heart. I know you feel battered, bruised, confused, hurt, afraid, alone, angry, sad, and battle weary. I know you feel that the pain is relentless and will never end. I know that you do not have the solutions and are exhausting yourself trying to work everything out. Come to Me. Let Me see your heart, and tend to your wounds”.
As I watched, I saw my heart on the operating table. I could see the bruises and the places where it was hurting and bleeding. It was uncomfortable to see, even though I was so aware of the pain. But somehow I knew all would be well. Somehow that place was the safest place to be. I sensed that the Father was there, because I felt such peace, even though I was in such a vulnerable place. Even though He could see my whole heart, I knew He would take care of it and bring healing to every wounded place.
As I continued to watch the scene, I saw the Father enter the room, as the divine surgeon, and the room filled with love, light, peace and grace. Somehow I knew that this process would not bring any more pain than I was already feeling. I thought that the Father would come with a scalpel to cut out the parts of my heart that were causing me pain, but instead, He came and held my heart in His hands. As He did so, His love and mercy completely overwhelmed me, and I found myself finally able to let go, and relax into His presence. It was such a relief to be at rest. My heart slowly began to open up again as I knew that I was safe in His hands. There was no more anxiety, only love. And then I remembered that perfect love casts out all fear.
The Father looked at my heart with such love and compassion. And immediately I knew that He knew. I did not need to try and explain anything, or feel shame for my mistakes or those things I had been through. I did not have to try and cover up, or apologise for my bad decisions or those things others had done to me. Nothing else mattered. He held my heart gently in His hands for what seemed like an eternity. Everything else faded away. It was just me and Him. Then He kissed my heart, and His liquid love poured in and flooded every dark place with light. My broken heart was made whole again. So let Him tend to your wounds today and let His love gently come and heal your heart. You are in safe hands.
The Lord is close to all whose hearts are crushed by pain,
and he is always ready to restore the repentant one.
Even when bad things happen to the good and godly ones,
the Lord will save them and not let them be defeated
by what they face. Psalm 34: 18-19 TPT
We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love he has for us. God is love! Those who are living in love are living in God, and God lives through them. By living in God, love has been brought to its full expression in us. Love never brings fear, for fear is always related to punishment. But love’s perfection drives the fear of punishment far from our hearts. 1 John 4: 16-18 TPT
God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart.
Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me.
Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares.
See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting way—the path that brings me back to you.
Psalm 139: 23 - 24 TPT
Surrender your anxiety.
Be still and realize that I am God.
PS 46: 10-11 TPT
