Need

Tell me, my child, what is your greatest need?

What is lacking that you need to succeed?

Where do you feel that you are missing out?

And in what areas do you feel there is drought?

Now consider how that need to be met,

Be honest with yourself and don't be upset.

Look into your heart now and give me your reply,

What do you need, my child? Tell me, specify.

Now, is this something that the world can provide?

Can it be worked at and secured through your pride?

Or is it just beyond and out of your grasp

And how is your hand now going to clasp?

Now listen to me and trust in what I say,

I am the God who is making a way.

For I have promised that your needs are met in my Son,

And believe what I have said is true and it will be done.

This is my promise to you, my child: ask, and you will receive,

So, ask me now for what you need and, in your heart, believe.

Yes, and earnestly seek for the answer and I will reveal,

And open the door to your needs and end your ordeal.
