Gripped in the Winter Season

When there is a significant snowfall, the land is gripped in an icy blanket, making navigating through it challenging at times. This produces unexpected hazards and pitfalls. 

It is a time not to venture out too far but to withdraw into the warmth and security of home, to drink hot chocolate to be warmed by the fire.

Our adversary would have us believe that life is bleak and brutal, blinding us from seeing what is ahead. He loves to keep us looking at our circumstances and lies to us that this is our lot in life, holding us captive in this place.

But the Spirit of the Lord is shouting long and hard so you can hear him above the din of the enemy, and He is saying to you: Spring is about to break forth, the snow will melt away, the temperature will rise, the sun will shine. It is My way of doing things; seasons come, and seasons go, but as you step out of your comfortable caves, you will see the work I have been doing under the blanket of snow. You will see the flowers about to bud, the trees coming to life, and the birds nesting.

This season of limitation is ending, and new life is about to burst forth. Enjoy the new season I am bringing you, says the Lord.
