In paradise

There on the cross

I saw three guys

The Son of God

And two besides

When one called out

Remember me

In words of love

Jesus replied

“Believe in me

Today you’ll be

In paradise”

And so to all

Today who thirst

Whose desperate souls

For years have cried

Who’d give their life

To find new birth

Take in his words

He never lies

So, Son of God

I gaze in awe

Not on a cross

Any more

With joy and praise

I now apply

These words you say

Deep down inside

“Believe in me

Today you’ll be

In paradise”
