My El Shaddai

I remember the days
When my thoughts were erratic
A slalom between
A kiss and sheer panic
But my storms are now still
My foes now lie killed
On every side
Daddy in heaven
How wondrous, how pleasant
It is to surrender
To one so amazing and kind
My El Shaddai
Like a planet that’s spun
Away from its axis
The kingdom of darkness
Around me collapses
And I walk again
In the grace that lifts me high
Your light is so bright
In you there’s no blackness
Hell’s princes and kings
Are so out of practice
Each time I say Jesus
A million more demons die
Daddy in heaven
How wondrous, how pleasant
It is to surrender
To one so amazing and kind
My El Shaddai
Oh Lord so much favour
On me you have lavished
I love our embraces
So warm and romantic
Together we walk
In gardens so lush and sublime
The nations are starting
To scream and to panic
Around me they’re sinking
Just like the Titanic
Lord open their eyes
To discover you’re good all the time
Your love is so deep
So pure and gigantic
Beyond what I see
With my own understanding
Your smile makes me laugh
With such joy that I almost cry
Daddy in heaven
How wondrous, how pleasant
It is to surrender
To one so amazing and kind
My El Shaddai
Daddy in heaven
How wondrous, how pleasant
It is to surrender
To one so amazing and kind
My El Shaddai
My El Shaddai
My El Shaddai
