I introduce to you "My Table", which is a series of conversations I had with the Lord over a period of 13 days, in which He showed me what was on the Table set before my enemies (Psalm 23). It is my intent to publish Part 2 tomorrow and the other installments each weekend until the last one.

It is my greatest pleasure to respond to your cries, to change things, to shed light, and to breathe life into the darkness. It's going to be more than just OK; it's going to be brilliant and an obvious and undeniable work of my hands, a testimony to my goodness. For I am close, and I hear your cries, and I will always be moved when the honest travail of my children is spoken for from a place of humility and even desperation. You did well to question me and to reveal your deepest need to me. I love you, my child, and I love who you are becoming, and yes, I will ensure you walk this out well. So, from that place of encouragement, let me encourage you some more.
My table, which I have set before you, is a table in the Spirit, a place where you can come each day to feast. You would do well to make it a pattern in your daily devotions, spending time looking at and partaking of what is on offer.
This is a table I have set, with the lavish fineries of a royal banquet, but without all the formalities and demanded etiquette. I do not require you to be dressed in formal evening attire, but only your Robes of Righteousness, covered with the Blood of my Son. And the funny thing is that although they are required, they are not noticeable to the untrained eye and are really only noticeable to me, who can see the blood. The robes I have for you are the most comfortable and perfectly fitting clothes, made of the best cotton, fit for a king in his chamber.
Now see my stance beside you, pulling the chair back, beckoning you to take your place at the table. Do you notice that this chair cannot be moved by human strength, only by me? You see the look on my face of welcome, love, and sheer joy at your presence, and you instinctively know that you are welcomed and that the feast is for you.
You notice that others are present, yet they are captivated by me, the Host, and you give me your full attention. Yes, you have my full attention, too. My heart is to give you the very best of myself. I have prepared everything you need in advance; it is all before you. I have catered to your every need and know what you like and dislike.
As you look around, see the company you are with, and give them a nod of welcome. There is a sense of great excitement in your heart, along with deep reverence and honour, as you have been invited and are taking your place. You sit, take it all in, and embrace the joy of being present.
Part 2 will be published tomorrow
