Oh Majestic Lion of Judah

In my heart I see you rise

As you roar into the future

As you lay down by my side

Oh how soft your mane of velvet

And how powerfully you hold

Me with your claws

I can think of countless reasons

For the issues in my life

How I’ve felt that my diseases

Were the fruit of compromise

When I’ve put myself in prison

Through my selfish, heartless lies

That broke your laws

I no longer feel ashamed

Cos you carried all my blame

And I’m stunned by your power as you roar

I have heavy situations that I just about survive

And relationships too complex for my mind to analyse

Though I know I’ve been forgiven

I still tear myself in shreds to find the cause

When I think about you Jesus

All the people that you met

The problems you encountered

And the shame they had, and yet

You wrenched away the blame from them

As healing peace and mercy

From you poured

Oh the wonder of your Name
