It is a journey.

A relationship

A discovery.

It is not a list of needs and wants.

It is a moment of peace,

A pain in your heart.

It is love

It is sorrow

It is laughter

It is hope

It is desperation

It is War

Peace

Pain

Understanding

It is emptiness

Fulness

Happiness

Sadness

Always available

A moment in time,

But most of all

It is a conversation with You, Lord.

Sometimes the words are spoken.

Others, words poured out in pain.

Then again, gratitude

Then spontaneous joy.

Praise pours out.

Gratitude so deep

It comes out in tears.

But it is always

Always

ALWAYS

My relationship with You, Lord.

Where I am at.

But my favourite

“Can we have a chat?”

“Always, Lord.”

“Let’s do it now.

I get to curl up on Your lap

Like a child

Heart to heart

And we chat.
