Lord I have heard of your fame
I stand in awe of your deeds
Renew them in our day
And in our time
Make them known
I hear the groaning of the broken
I feel their sorrows as they weep
Come wind of God and break them open
Kiss them awake from endless sleep
I feel the ground so dry and thirsty
Come clouds of heaven, let it rain
In your wrath remember mercy
Let new life spring up again
Lord I have heard of your fame
I stand in awe of your deeds
Renew them in our day
And in our time
Make them known
No kind of love could be so tender
Whispering life into dry bones
We see the fullness of your splendour
Transforming mud to precious stones
I see the days of sorrow ended
Dungeons of darkness are destroyed
Whoever heard a sound so splendid
The storms of death have heard your voice
Lord I have heard of your fame
I stand in awe of your deeds
Renew them in our day
And in our time
Make them known
We’ll sing the songs that wake the morning
We’ll shine your light into the void
We’ll be the womb the bride is born in
We’ll see new babies jump for joy
All of creation is excited
They feel your glory in the breeze
New fires of love are being ignited
By the bride and her decrees
Lord I have heard of your fame
I stand in awe of your deeds
Renew them in our day
And in our time
Make them known
I see the bones once dead emerging
As angel bands begin to play
And with the stench of Babel burning
We see all hell go up in flames
Again the earth will speak one language
Words of glory, songs of light
As we all crowd into the banquet
On the day of Jesus Christ
Lord I have heard of your fame
I stand in awe of your deeds
Renew them in our day
And in our time
Make them known
Lord I have heard of your fame
I stand in awe of your deeds
Renew them in our day
And in our time
Make them known
