The way you look at me

There’s a cloud on the horizon
There’s a perfume in the breeze
Heaven’s armies are arriving
I can hear them in the trees
You tell me you’re delighted
With my worship you are pleased
And I know I’m recreated
With every breath you breathe
Now I walk with head held high
For your affection is extreme
I’m the apple of your eye
You say I am your dream
But how soon can the world recover
From sickness and disease
How can winter turn to summer
Or the snow melt off the trees
Until I learn to look at others …
The way you look at me ?
In the blood there is more power
Than the world has ever seen
My sinful nature was devoured
On the day that all hell screamed
I can’t believe how great my value
Or how much to you I mean
I’ve no language to say thank you
For highly I’m esteemed
All creation’s looking forward
Mountains fall down on their knees
There’s an air of deep excitement
Among the birds and the bees
But how soon can the world recover
From sickness and disease
How can winter turn to summer
Or the snow melt off the trees
Until I learn to look at others …
The way you look at me ?
I love being a believer
In a narrative so deep
No story has been sweeter
No drama can compete
The blood is shouting louder
That we have been redeemed
More angels now surround us
Than there have ever been
The cross is now my witness
Salvation is complete
So I’ll radiate forgiveness
On everyone I meet
For how else can the world recover
From sickness and disease
How can winter turn to summer
Or the snow melt off the trees
Until I learn to look at others …
The way you look at me ?
