Life has a habit of shaking us to the core,

When we stumble and fall to the floor.

What we put our trust in to see us through,

Turned out not to be the case and makes us blue

We put all our energies into the constant fight,

We muster up all our strength and all our might.

We are constantly looking for that elusive breakthrough,

Not knowing the way, the means, the how to.

It feels like this battle is ours and ours alone,

And each has their struggles in life that is well known.

Have we allowed this to become a life of defeat?

Are we ready to live life in constant retreat?

But do you not know, have you not heard?

That Almighty God is true to his word.

For everyone known of God overcomes the world,

Through faith in Jesus, the Son of God unfurled.

Yes, it's true, and you must believe,

In the risen Son of God receive.

Step into what he has won for you: victory over death,

To give you new life in him, to give you new breath.

For death can no longer keep you in it’s domain,

Continue to inflict you, steal from and give you pain.

So, believe that Jesus died for you with all your heart,

And he with Holy Spirit will give you that fresh new start.
