Invitation

Jesus invites you to lay down what you carry,

Do you delay and do not tarry.

Let go of your duty, your performance and your shame,

Receive the greatest gift, receive rest in Jesus’ name.  

Know his acceptance, his embrace,

Step away from the world’s rat race.

Know your worth, you’re his delight,

And not because of your great might.

Through His love look what He has done,

The finished work of his beloved Son.

Come receive His gift of rest,

Come, recline upon his chest.

And enter that peaceful place,

Rest, it is to you His gift of grace.
