Love Letter

As we humbly bow our hearts down in surrender
The enemy is crushed beneath our feet
And as we give to Jesus our agenda
His victory on the cross is made complete
Lord make my heart a love letter
For the world as I pray and laugh and weep
For you called me to be an intercessor
As I wake, as I walk, as I sleep
I’ve never known a love so warm and tender
Or heard of one in any century
I’ve never seen a sight of such great splendour
Or tasted drops of mercy rain so sweet
So now as I come to you like Esther
Teach me how to pray authentically
Show we how to recognise the sceptre
Of acceptance you are holding out to me
Lord make my heart a love letter
For the world as I pray and laugh and weep
For you called me to be an intercessor
As I wake, as I walk, as I sleep
Teach me to observe your every gesture
To hear every whisper you speak
From your throne, so as one, joined together
We flow with your powerful decrees
Show me how fly below the radar
Protected by your wings where I’m unseen
By any kind of demon force of witchcraft
Or spirit that’s religious or unclean
Lord make my heart a love letter
For the world as I pray and laugh and weep
For you called me to be an intercessor
As I wake, as I walk, as I sleep
Open up my eyes to see the beauty
Of realms beyond the natural things I see
I long to feel your heart pulsating through me
As I praise and worship you down on my knees
We will see the sound of war being finished
And creation from its bondage being set free
As we lean our hearts into the Spirit
And we’re resting in our true authority
Lord make my heart a love letter
For the world as I pray and laugh and weep
For you called me to be an intercessor
As I wake, as I walk, as I sleep
