My Table Part Vii

And now, let us take a moment to look around you, beyond the table, and observe the surroundings. The setting is a forest clearing, bordered by the most gracious and majestic trees you have ever seen, yet you are in the most lush meadow, with beautiful wildflowers in bloom.

The fragrance is a collection of the most beautiful sensations that speak to your soul, reviving, relieving, and restoring.

Can you hear the flowers as they interact? Can you hear the giggles and their laughter? They are like a flock of young children playfully chatting, and it fills the atmosphere with joy and a true sense of peace.

As their fragrance enters your soul, so does peace, reaching into hard-to-reach, closed-off places to bring healing to your wounds and strength to your bones

Keep looking. What else can you see? Do you notice the eagles soaring above? Do you hear their cries, saying, 'Come up here so we can show you what is to come'? You decide in your heart that you will join them once you're finished at the table.

Now look beyond the eagles. Do you get a sense that there are those watching the scene before them? Do you sense their excitement at seeing you seated at the table?

Why not ask who they are? Why not describe them? Yes, they are human, but they are spirits too—without a body yet, but about to receive a new one. They are fully alive, and many of them are observing and enjoying the story of your life unfolding before them.

Yes, they are the Witnesses, and through their lives of sacrifice, they have paved the way and made it possible for you to be here. And yet, their excitement at seeing you here is to the point of ecstasy as they behold the whole scene.

Can you hear their encouragement and comforting words? They are excited because their investment in you is finally paying off, and all their efforts, prayers, and sacrifices have been worth it.

One day, you will join them and experience this view too.

Now, look around you and pay attention to what and who is around you.

Isn't it quiet yet also busy? Isn't it silent but also full of sound, and yet so balanced, in tune, and in rhythm?

And can you see me? Describe me—what do I look like?

Yes, that's right, I AM dressed in simple, plain clothes, comfortable and functional.

What kind of person would wear these kinds of clothes?

Yes, it is hard to grasp, but you are right: it is the clothing of a servant, perfectly clean and full of humility and wholeness, yet prepared to serve and please.

Selah.

Yes, it is hard to see that I AM here to serve you, my child. This is your moment, and I want to lavish you with all I have prepared for you.

Selah.

Do you want to start the feast yet, my beloved?
