My Table Part X

And so, my beloved child, let me ask you more probing questions: What do you expect to find at the table? Where do your expectations come from, and why do you have them?

Yes, I understand, it opens your heart again, considering these things, so let's explore them before we see what I've actually laid out for you.

So, the conventional understanding might lead you to believe that you are to eat of the flesh of My Crucified Son, and that is all there is on the table, and all you need. In a sense, that is correct, but that was a one-time event that each believer partakes of to become a child of God. It is truly an altar where the sacrifice of the Lamb of God was offered and received, and it is one of those great mysteries that took place at Calvary, and even before the foundations of the world—that is, a largely completed work.

So, let us not become confused or misled; this table I have placed before you is different. Let go of the religious dogma and doctrine you have believed, and now look at what I, your loving Father, have prepared for you.

And don't think at the other extreme that this is the heads of your enemies in some sick display of the vengeance of the Lord, no, look and see your enemies in the distance looking on in their chains, unable to affect the atmosphere of celebration.

And finally, don't expect it to be empty, devoid of anything useful or enjoyable, in a cruel hoax of failure of missing the required standards set by a demanding God. No, my table set before you is lavish, is exuberant, is excessive, is abundant, and is an expression of My heart for you.

Yes, I know it's hard to believe and even harder to accept that my love isn't based on your performance, and My Table isn't a reward for your good deeds or a judgment seat of how well or poorly you did in this world.

Despite what you might think or believe, it is a celebration of your being My child, and as My child, you are entitled to My full favour. Yes, simply rest in that truth for a moment, Selah.

I know it's hard to believe, but the truth will set you free, so feel free to believe that it is true. You are My beloved child in whom I am well pleased; the conditions have been met, the price of your redemption paid, and we have become one — you in Me and I in you. The greatest mystery of the universe is now revealed at the Table I have prepared before you.

So, go enjoy what I have prepared for you on My Table. I have chosen the finest of meats and the most delicious of fare for you to savour.

It is all yours, my child — a gift from your loving Father.
