The King has left the room

He is risen,

The stone is rolled away

There’s nobody in the tomb

He’s shown He is The Way. 

They nailed and pinned and crucified him,

Slaughtered at the Cross

He took my accursed sin

Then conquered every loss.

Where O death now is your victory

Where O death now is your sting

The veil now torn from top to bottom, 

This servant conqueror King. 

He’s made a way

This is the Day

The evidence quite clear.

He took the ground 

Without a sound

To bring us far to near.

There is no life without Him,

There is no freedom’s gain,

No liberty for us to see,

No breaking sin’s pain chain. 

There would be no light in darkness

No sunshine in the night

No rest amidst life’s stormy waves

No freedom from the plight 

Yet, who can go,

Who can I send?

Who will take this bloody role?

Be pleased to see

The Lamb for me

The Lion breaks that sealed up scroll 

He’s unsealed the sealed,

Stepped in the gap,

Roared the final roar,

Unscrolled the scrolled

Rolled back the stone 

And opened up the door 

He is the light in darkness 

The sunshine in the night

He is the rest amidst life’s stormy waves 

The freedom from life’s plight 

He has conquered death’s dark hour, 

Sin no longer has its way

He has dawned the new beginning 

He has had the final say

And so,…

Let’s join Heaven’s party

Let Heavens bells ring out 

The conquering King 

has come to bring 

This Easter Day shout out 

Yes,…

He is risen from the dead!

There’s no body in the tomb

The stone is truly rolled away

The King….has left the room!
