Who are you

So many of us have no idea who we are or have an accurate assessment of how God sees us. We often compare ourselves to others and wish we could be like them, yet we don't know them or their journey. We see their giftings or ministries and long to be like them in some way, but we often get disgruntled by the slow growth or the revealing of our purpose. We think working hard for the Kingdom will accelerate us into God's given purpose, but we often feel inadequate and disappointed. 

But the Spirit of the Lord asked you a question today: have you sought me and listened to my response? Have you asked me what your purpose is or even what your giftings are? Have you relied on what others see or spoken about you and have yet to ask my opinion?

I am the God who gives to those who ask, who is found by those who seek, and I am a God who opens the door that is knocked upon. So, ask me, my child and my beloved one to ask and listen, and I will show you what my purpose is for you. 

Activation: Settle this today. Ask the Lord what your purpose in his Kingdom is and what he has you do. Then, listen, write down what he says, and agree with him.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
